Jamaica Labour Party strongman Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke
The United States government has made a formal request for the extradition of Jamaica Labour Party strongman Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke on alleged drug trafficking charges.
Coke is the leader of Tivoli Gardens, where residents are fiercely loyal to the ruling party. Details are sketchy, however, Coke is believed to be on a list of drug trafficking suspects wanted by the US Drug Enforcement Agency.
Coke is son of the late Lester Lloyd Coke, otherwise known as Jim Brown, leader of the feared Shower Posse who died at the general penitentiary in the 1990s while awaiting extradition to the US for murder and drug trafficking.
Under existing conditions, the US request will be forwarded to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after which it is expected to be sent to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), then to the Attorney General’s Office and back to the DPP where arrests warrants are drawn up and sent to the police.

Does the media really feel good about putting out this headline? Wouldn’t “Dudus Extradited on Drug Charges” have been better. Sometimes it seems as if you are out to serve your own selfish desires for ratings, or worse on the side of criminals, why you think the public can’t wait to get a story.
Tivoli must be like a fortress now. Good luck to anyone who tries to go in and get him!

Wow…some people are suffering from a serious case of Don worship. Dudus turn God on earth. Just because he shares a fraction of his ill gotten gains with the community.
What part of dudus is God? Is so Jamaica stay now? no wonder the country so frig up. If he killed pple and/or was pushing drugs he needs to suffer for it. I hope the US sentences him to 200 yrs so that he isn’t able to continue the pandemonium in JA.
oh people shut it tivoli garden dont have nothing to do with all a jamaica so yall people who dont know keep ya comments to ya self cause its not necessary the truth will prevail its said if you dont have nothing positive to say dont say it at all no one must judge someone they dont know LEAVE HIM ALONE LET HIM LIVE HIS LIFE. US ARE NOT THE CONTROL OF THE WORLD GOD IS SO STOP TRYING TO BE HIM.
dis one seems serious, a wonder how it will unfold. The Government must be very concern, considering the relationship with the President.
Hope the truth will emerge!
I believe it is utterly unfair for the Jamaican government to ever agree to such a treaty where a citizen can be extradicted fro a crime that he/she has not committed in the USA but just by being implicated by someone caught in the US. Do you belive the US would have extradicted an american citizen here to stand trial hell no.
On another matter you people are saying all kinds of things. The PNP government approved development of Kennedy Grove because of Skeng Don and look what happens to Kennedy Grove residents whenever there is a heavy downpour of rain. Leave Dudus alone, it is definitely good over evil. Long live the President.
