CVM Group Broadcast Journalist Michael Pryce died on December 14, while undergoing treatment for cancer in England.
The entire CVM board, management and staff mourn the passing of Michael who was a dedicated, committed and faithful employee, colleague and friend.
Michael Christopher Andrew Pryce will be remembered as an enthusiastic and creative reporter who was always ready to undertake the most difficult and challenging of assignments.
Michael has been associated with the CVM Group since March 2000 during which time he worked as a broadcast journalist with CVM TV covering news and sports stories, anchoring news and sportscasts, hosting current affairs programming and providing coverage of many major events including hurricanes, Local Government and General Elections.
Michael Pryce also worked with HOT 102 as a member of the Drive Time Live broadcast team and more recently the programme “Today with Beverly Manley”.
Michael was born in Birmingham England and attended Kingston College and Vere Technical High Schools here in Jamaica before returning to England where he pursued university studies and did a stint in the British army.
Worked with the BBC World Service and Choice FM radio in London and on returning to Jamaica in 1997 he worked with Television Jamaica and Radio Jamaica before joining CVM TV in 2000. Michael is best remembered at the CVM Group for his exciting TV and radio reports on the passage of hurricanes, his contribution to our team coverage of Local Government and General Elections over the years and his sterling work on both CVM Television and HOT 102 as a presenter of current affairs programmes. He would also be remembered for his indomitable spirit in his fight with cancer and the hope and encouragement he gave to others while on that journey.
The CVM Group has offered condolences to his wife Maxine, his two daughters and the rest of his family and friends who mourn his passing.






I never met Michael personally but I was always interested in what he had to say. I never knew he was ill so the news came as a suprise.

I am saddened by his passing but he was a good journalist. I hope that his family will try and reflect on the good things and memories. I will be praying for you all.
I will always remember Michael during hurricane Ivan, when I spoke to him on CVMabout leaving Port Royal, and after the storm passed he made it his duty to ask the whole Jamaica to get in touch with me.IF THAT IS NOT CARING WHAT ELSE IS IT. that was a part of him
