More voices including some from among Jamaica’s ruling class are beseeching the Government to allow the Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke extradition request to be adjudicated by the Jamaican courts, in keeping with our Constitution and our Treaty obligations.
The cry has become just too insistent. The reported numbers of suspect killings by the police since the beginning of the year too startling to be ignored any longer.
The dismissal and transfers of senior public servants, allegedly as a response to the Armadale Report produced by Mr. Justice Patrick Harrison, if that were all that were done would simply be to add one form of cruelty to another.
With recent happenings in Jamaica I find myself returning to childhood experiences in an attempt to run for cover and protection.
